What Crossfit Has Taught Me About Myself

I have been involved in the Crossfit community for a little over 3 years now, but there was a time and place where I had to abandon the community I once came to love for all the wrong reasons. I was searching for something that was not there and I lost motivation to come back in and better myself. When I had left I lost all of the strength and conditioning I had built up. Once I came back into the community I realize how much harder it was on my body and mind to get back to where I once was.

Almost a year or so later since I have finally decided to come back full time, I have started to see my strength and conditioning improve immensely. I see myself getting quicker. With the help of my awesome gym friends and fiancée,  I have gained back all of my confidence and motivation to keep doing what I am doing.

Being in the open this year has taught me a lot about myself since last years open. Last years open I was a complete train wreck and struggled throughout the entire open. This year though I am getting to numbers that were once familiar to me and some are newer. I am attempting the workouts more than just one time and not letting myself feel comfortable. I am always looking for improvement and continuing on with that.

Below is a video clip I was able to make with footage from my Crossfit box, Crossfit Murrieta at 18.4 I hope you enjoyed it as much I enjoyed filming and putting this together. My goal is to continue writing reflection pieces on how crossfit has helped me improve and insights on what workouts I have been doing as of late. Enjoy.
