1. Choose an environment
The environment that I chose for this assignment was a local coffee shop in the town where I reside in Wildomar, CA. The coffee shop's name is Bean Coffee Roasters. It is fairly a new establishment as it has only been open for a couple months now. They have another establishment in the town that is just south of here but this is there newest location. I usually grab coffee here with my fiancee at least once a week because it is a little more on the artisan side of coffee making. They do take a little longer to make your coffee but the wait is well worth it.

Just based off of observations and previous trips before, Bean Coffee Roasters is meant to be a nice sit down style cafe where you can meet with colleagues for coffee or somewhere you can go to get some work done.
Environment
The environment has a an industrial style decor to it. The ceilings are exposed giving the cafe a bigger feel. There are also exposed beams giving way to more of that industrial style decor as well. The ordering station has these beautiful chandelier lighting that resemble lights that you would see in an industrial style building. The rooms have some brick style overlays on the walls which give the inside more of that roasting facility look as well.
Decor
The decor is very industrial as well. The chairs and tables are made out of wood and iron which blend well with the overall decor of the cafe. Other little fixtures include plush style seating with black and white imagery as well. The coffee making station is also adorned with this beautiful white subway tile that gives you that feeling of industry. The coffee shop itself feels like something you would find in more of a downtown New York kind of setting but located in California.
Overall critique
The overall critique of the establishment is that it is an extremely open environment and somewhere you can enjoy coffee or a nice sit down. The decor is very industrial modern while still lending itself to it's namesake of being a cafe and coffee house. With the imagery and sounds that this place offers it very much feels like a coffee house you can find in a bigger city feel.
