STAFF PRODUCT DESIGNER

I don't start with screens. I start with where people are getting stuck.

When I walk into something broken, I go top down — find the friction, find where people are bogged down, then work toward a solution. I don't design fully baked screens from day one. I need the full picture first. And if the documentation isn't there, I go find it. That's always been the research part of my job, even when there was no researcher in the room.

I design with the assumption that someone is going to encounter this product for the first time and have no idea what they're doing. If they get lost in the middle, I failed. That's the standard I hold myself to.
