CrossFit Murrieta

Branding & Redesign

Case Study - Branding - Marketing

Project Details

CrossFit Murrieta is a local Crossfit gym located in Southern California. The following branding was done to showcase a more modern look while also maintaining some of the branding they already have in place.

Objective: Rebrand Crossfit Murrieta, establishing key elements within the city it represents, along with elements of how the CrossFit community is represented.

How: Establishing connections between the city of Murrieta and bringing those elements into the Murrieta brand. This would include font choice, styling, imagery, all meant to bring out a sense of excitement and intrigue to anyone interested in joining.

Role: Lead Designer, Market Research, User Research, Branding

Tools Used: Adobe XD, Photoshop, Illustrator

Story

CrossFit Murrieta has been a mainstay in the CrossFit community for a little over two decades. Not only have they been a mainstay within the fitness community but also the city of Murrieta as well. They are one of a few handful of CrossFit gyms located within the Inland Empire of Southern California, particularly within the region of Temecula Valley.

Challenge

The current branding in CrossFit gyms, mainly most gym branding that I have come across is that their web presence is lacking. Along with that, but the lack of connection between the current gym branding and the city it represents is non-existent.

Solution

The solution here was to bring in pieces of how the city of Murrieta is represented and by tying into that emotion of how a CrossFity gym is represented. By bringing in those elements and establishing marketing & branding materials. This would not only support the brand itself but support the current gym membership giving them an opportunity to represent the community they are apart of but also bring in prospects interested in joining the community as well.
